The Einstein Telescope will be one of Europe’s most advanced research infrastructures. Its technological requirements go beyond current standards, creating new opportunities for innovation and market expansion for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and research institutions.Through the Interreg COMET program, we support companies in the Dutch-German border region in translating these technological challenges into concrete collaborations and innovation projects. During our online Tech-Talk on March 24, we’ll highlight the biggest challenges, the opportunities they present, and how your company can strategically capitalize on them. We link the technological challenges directly to funding opportunities and concrete project opportunities.
What to expect
In this webinar, SMEs will receive a clear and practical overview of:

technology fields with clear industrial and market relevance in relation to the Einstein Telescope;

grant and support opportunities that mitigate risks and help SMEs launch or scale up innovation projects within STIPP and COMET;

a concrete industrial case study: the STIPP-funded LUCET project, which develops laser-based cleaning solutions for ultra-high-vacuum infrastructure, with applications that extend beyond the Einstein Telescope;

market opportunities beyond the Einstein Telescope, as many of the required technologies can also be applied in other high-tech and industrial applications.

By combining technological insights with access to the ecosystem and clear funding pathways, this webinar lowers the barrier to entry. This allows you to position your company early on in a rapidly developing European innovation environment.
Program
PresentationsEnabling Technologies for the Einstein Telescope: An Overview Prof. Dr. Achim Stahl (RWTH Aachen University)COMET Overview: Region, Partners, and Opportunity Areas Dr. Matthias Grosch (NMWP Management GmbH)STIPP Explained: How to Turn Ideas into Funded Projects Ralf Meyer (AGIT mbH) LUCET (STIPP): Translating Einstein Needs into Solutions Daan Vlekken (Netalux NV)Live Q&A For questions about COMET and STIPP
